Scope and content
President De Gaulle of France made a ten-day official state visit to Mexico - the first ever by a French President - and the French possessions of Guadaloupe, Martinique and French Guiana. His visit was disliked by the US but well received in Latin America, especially in Mexico where he delivered a five-minute speech in Spanish from memory. Abu depicts De Gaulle dressed as a Catholic priest, praying with other anti-American countries - Mexico, Vietnam, Turkey and Africa.
