Contains records of the Widow's Pension Fund which was officially established by the MGEN Society in 1928. The purpose of the Fund was the provision of pensions for widows of employees or pensioners of MGEN. Following the termination of the Society in December 1941 the Fund became the Manchester Guardian & Evening News Widows' Pension Fund (See GMG/4/5/2)
