Portée et contenu
A collection of prints and negatives showcasing the work of Graham Finalyson. The collection includes pictures taken in the UK and around the world and prints produced for an exhibition of his work at the Guardian and Observer Newsroom.
Administrative/Biographical history: Graham Finlayson began his career with the Southampton Echo, moving to the Daily Mail after national service with the RAF. He joined the Guardian in 1959 where he worked for 5 years. Here he was sent abroad on assignments to Borneo, Nigeria and Indonesia. Finlayson went freelance in 1964 and photographed everything from architecture, industry, fashion, sport and travel.
