The Guardian Weekly set up an international correspondence scheme in 1932. Those persons who participated lived in countries such as the United States, Austria, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
These two files of personal correspondence, including a number of postcards and photographs, were the result of participation in the scheme by Kathleen Drake of Brighouse, Yorkshire.
