Also includes many wishes from friends, family and colleagues on his engagement and marriage to Lucy Waring.

Also includes professional letters concerning work and appointments, comments from colleagues on his writing, invitations to attend events and presentations or support organisations, correspondence with charitable organisations Hugo Young supported, correspondence from publishers and internal Guardian correspondence.
