Produced during 'The Gentle Eye: Portraits by Jane Bown for the Observer' exhibition at the National Portrait gallery. Features footage of Jane at home and stills of photographs taken by Jane. Jane is interviewed at home and talks about her approach to photography. Contains footage of Jane at work for the Observer, taking photographs of actor Larry Hagman, animals at a zoo and Arthur Askey, the English comedian. Also features footage of Observer staff Gary Woodhouse, picture editor; Tony Martin, printer.
