Scope and content
Cartoon shows Prime Minister Harold Wilson pulling the lever on a slot machine labelled the "common market". The slot machine has a picture of the face of [French President Valéry Giscard] on it. The slot machine has the words "any *picture of Giscard's face* is wild" (read "any Giscard is wild"). The cartoon probably relates to debates within the UK about whether to remain a part of the European Economic Community in the years 1974-5.
