This cartoon shows a sequence involving [Joseph Gormley]. He first bows to the viewer, then picks up a stick and proceeds to break it on his leg and presents it to the viewer. Then he lifts a large bundle of sticks, which he tries to break, but is unsuccessful and falls down. He bows to the viewer again with the unbroken bundle behind him.
