William Whitelaw, Margaret Thatcher, and Michael Heseltine sit on the front bench in the House of Commons. Whitelaw looks concerned and Heseltine angry. Geoffrey Howe stands reading a speech. Ronald Reagan waves at the MPs as he walks towards Howe. The head of the House of Commons mace is labeled 'Jelly beans' and has them inside it in reference to Reagan's habit of eating them.

Context: Reagan was invited to address a joint meeting of the House of Commons and Lords. This information was leaked to the news before Thatcher talked to the opposition, causing Labour to seriously consider boycotting such a visit. (Source: The Guardian 9 March 1982 via Proquest)
