The Mongol Empire was established by Genghis Khan in the 13th cen., it was ruled by the Manchus 17-19th centuries. It was disputed by China and Russia in the 20th century. The official language is Khalkha Mongolian, though Turkic, Russian, abd Chinese are also spoken.
