Mervyn King and green-faced bankers attempt to shock life back into a dismantled skeleton using a defibrillator set at one and a half percentage points, as Mervyn King says 'C-C-C-CLEAR!'. The bankers stand with strained faces holding savings books, and one has his finger's crossed. On top of the defibrillator rests 'John Bull Quantatative Easing Kit' and 'Money Printing Fun For All!'. Rowson has described the cartoon 'after Rembrandt'.
