Scope and content

Illustration originally accompanying an article titled 'Blair's luck has run out - and he has no one to blame but himself', by Jonathan Freedland, published in the Guardian, 22 March 2006. The article discusses Tony Blair's status as Prime Minister after three years of conflict in Iraq, and how this has corroded public trust in his running of the government. The illustration shows Blair on a stage wearing suit and red tie, smiling and pointing upwards, while beneath him a saw is cutting the word 'IRAQ' into the floor, the 'Q' directly where he is stood. Cutting with published illustration supplied. Includes newspaper cutting.
