Scope and content

Illustration originally accompanying an article titled 'Cherie Booth's gun crime film is a sad reminder of New Labour's fatal flaws', by John Kampfner, published in the Guardian, 05 August 2009. The article discusses the Labour party's great failure of its micro-fixation, free of context, in relation to Cherie Booth's documentary The War Against Street Weapons. The illustration shows an arm, dressed in a suit, holding a set of gold scales of justice. In the slightly higher swinging bowl is a lone man in a hood pointing a gun to the lower bowl containing four people with their hands up in the air with shocked expressions. Cutting with published illustration supplied.
