Scope and content

Illustration originally used to accompany an article titled 'Brothers without arms' by David Hirst on Muslim countries' frustration at the West over Bosnia, but also frustration amongst themselves, which featured in the Guardian on 29 July 1995. The drawing shows two figures fighting. Two other figures frame them, one seated on a crescent symbolising Islam, and the other seated on a cross symbolising Christianity.
