Illustration originally used to accompany an article titled 'Addicts of Tory Liberty' by John Gray on drug legalisation and how the free market harms the State, which appeared in the Guardian on 19 June 1995. The drawing shows figures in suits and sunglasses, one sitting on a throne made of pills and the others holding large syringes like staffs. One other figure stands in front of them with his head tilted and hat off, a gesture of supplication. Includes newspaper cutting.
