Notebook, written mostly in longhand with some shorthand, containing notes on: Rhodesian politics including Ian Douglas Smith, LAA [Land Apportionment Act] and independence; a currency board for East African states; economy and industry in East Africa; and discussion around an East African Federation.
Names featured include: Ian Douglas Smith, [Ahrn] Palley, Claire [Palley], Jamal, [Milton] Obote, JK [Jomo Kenyatta], [Julius] Nyerere and [JG] Kiano.
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
