Notebook, written mostly in longhand with some shorthand, containing notes on: the economy and production in [Tanganyika]; PAFMECA [Pan-African Freedom Movement of East and Central Africa]; the LAA; unrest in Katanga; the Republic of the Congo and Kasai; fighting in [Bakwanga]; UN intervention in [Katanga] and politics and [parliament] in the Republic of the Congo.
Names featured include: [Oscar] Kambona, [Derek] Bryceson, [Julius] Nyerere, Major Jean-Marie Crevecolur, [Albert] Kalonji, [Patrice] Lumumba, [Moïse] Tshombe and Évariste [Kimba].
Transcribed by Frances Wilson in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
