Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: KADU, KANU and the Kenyan government; Kenyan independence; the Central Legislative Assembly and the economy; the government in Tanganyika; calls for the release of Jomo Kenyatta; Njoro settlers and the murder of Mrs Nora Osboune.
Names featured include: Tom [Mboya], [Ian] Macleod, [Fred] Mati, [Josef] Mathenge, [Ibrahim] Nathoo, B. Mack, [Ronald] Ngala, [Julius] Nyerere, Mwai [Kibaki], [Michael] Blundell, [Jeremy] Raisman, [Ernest] Vasey, Mackenzie, Jomo Kenyatta, [Masinde] Muliro and Philip Bodley-Scott.
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
