Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: the BSA Coy. [British South Africa Company] finances; the future of The Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland; debates on the the constitution, political parties, voting rights and the electoral system in [Northern Rhodesia?]; independence of the Federation; and the military in Northern Rhodesia.
Names featured include: Lord Robins, [Sir Roy] Welensky, KK [Kenneth Kaunda], John Roberts and Sir James Callaghan.
Transcribed by Rosemarie Dowsett in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
