Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: Kenyan independence; the Kenyan parliament; land schemes and farming in Kenya; self-government in Nyasaland; LHA and the factory problem in [Nyasaland]; and African and non-African employment in [Nyasaland], 1957-1962.
Names featured include: [Paul] Negi, Gen. Bourne, Chip [Henry Masauko Blasius Chipembere], Dr Hastings Kamuzu Banda, Orton Chirwa, RA Butler, [Terence] Ranger and RW [Sir Roy Welensky].
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archive's Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
