Notebook written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: the [Victoria Falls] conference; Kenyan general elections; Kenyan independence; employment and industry in the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland; dissolution of the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland; Southern Rhodesia and pland for railway link between Northern Rhodesia and Tanganyika.

Names featured include: JK [Jomo Kenyatta], RAB [RA Butler], [Winston] Field, John Richard Dendy Young, Sir George Curtis, [Roy] Welensky, Arthur Wina, KK [Kenneth Kaunda], [Harry] Nkumbule and [John Moore] Caldicott.

Transcribed by Pauline Thomas in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archive’s Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
