Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes from EAF [East African Federation] Conference, Kenya, November 1963 including discussions around the creation of a political and economic federation, EACSO (East African Common Services Organization (EACSO), Pan-Africanism, freedom of movement and unions.
Names featured include: [Achieng] Oneko, [Joseph S.] Nye, Grace Ibingira, Dandi Ocheng, [Jacob] Namfua, Malecela, Oliver Knowles, Hazelwood, Tom Mboya and [Peter Okondo].
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archive’s Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
