Notebook, mostly written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: NU-TANU; the exclusion of the Republic of the Congo from the Organization of African Unity conference in Cairo; economic development in Kenya; criticism of the British press on Kenya; the Council of National Liberation (in the Republic of the Congo) (CNL); [Rwandan refugees]; the British High Commission and relations between Britain and Kenya; Farming in kenya; and notes from the [third FAO Regional Conference for Africa held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, September 1964].
Names featured include: [Martin] Shikuku, Moïse Tshombe, [Jaramogi Oginga] Odinga, JK [Jomo Kenyatta], [Sir Geoffrey] De Freitas, Mr Pollard and [Kojo] Botsio.
Transcribed by Lauraine Newcombe in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archive’s Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
