Notebook, written mostly in shorthand, containing notes on: Maasai land in [Kenya and Tanganyika]; land schemes in Kenya; the State of Katanga; Kenyan independence and minority groups; elections in Kenya; training, industry and unions in [East Africa]; biographical notes on [Rashidi Mfaume] Kawawa; and Zanzibar.
Names featured include: Neil Lawson, Julius Nyerere, [Iain] Macleod, [Masinde] Muliro, [Ronald] Ngala, [Julius Gikonyo] Kiano, [Tom] Mboya, [James] Gichuru, [Fitz Remedios Santana] de Souza and JK [Jomo Kenyatta].
Transcribed in 2021 as part of the Clyde Sanger shorthand transcription project with funding from The National Archives' Collaborate and Innovate Testbed Fund. The pdf transcription document also contains a digitised copy of the notebook.
